Robie Point to Mount Quarries Railroad Bridge - March 16, 2013
This moderate 5-mile hike descends almost to the American River with ups, downs, and level stretches. You will see spectacular views of the river and surrounding American River Canyon, a magnificent waterfall, and a 100 year-old bridge. This bridge was built to accommodate the railroad that traversed the canyon to transport limestone that was used commercially at the time.
