Caples Creek Trail - July 7, 2010
This delightful hike has it all - verdant meadows, gushing streams, fabulous forests, and . . . scads of bear scat. Caples Creek plays peek-a-boo throughout the hike. At times it is so close you can touch the water - at times you can only hear it - at times the creek completely disappears from sight and sound. Shortly after crossing the last meadow, Government Meadow, we pause for a break where Caples Creek is the widest, before turning back to the trailhead. After our hike, we will meet for a late lunch at a delightful Camino restaurant called The Forrester .
