Five Lakes Tahoe - July 19, 2014
Some say that this 5 mile hike to Granite Chief Wilderness is too easy but come to the hike and find out. There is a SHORT moderately steep grade for .5 miles then a moderate uphill for .75 miles with switchbacks to the top of the ridge. The start of the trail is lined with wildflowers in July. We will try to get to 3 of the 5 lakes and relax up in Tahoe. Anyone can stop at the big oak and swim or take nap.
